Onions are a versatile staple in your kitchen. They last a long time, are budget-friendly and add flavour to a range of dishes. 

     The best way to cut an onion is by:

  1. Chopping the onion in half. 
  2. Chopping off both ends and removing the outer peel. 
  3. Laying the onion half flat and  slicing the onion vertically one way.
  4. Rotating the onion by 90° and cutting it vertically again.
